Chalking the Door

The congregation watched as the children chalked the door into the sanctuary at St. David this morning. The symbols are the initials of the traditional names of the Magi (Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar), but they are also an abbreviation of the Latin blessing Christus masionem benedicat or "Christ bless this house".
