Fall is here and with it comes the inevitable slowing activity in the garden. After the rush of spring planting, and the peak of summers harvest, it’s time to let nature take its course.
St. David Community Garden had a bountiful harvest of tomatoes, carrots, beets, beans, peas, cauliflower and cucumbers this season. We had folks near and far enjoy the fresh and delicious fruits of our labor.
We could not have been able to fulfill this dream if not for the many hands that help finance, build, plant, and care for our raised garden beds. Special thanks to Carol Benedetti and her team at Community Foundation of Orillia and Area for their extremely generous support.
