Live experience has, and continues to, teach me a great deal. I am a Registered Nurse and was active in hospital nursing for 26 years. My greatest teachers were my patients, their families and friends. I realize how fulfilled I felt when I was able to listen and support those going through difficult situations, change or grief. This led me to pursue an education in counselling.
I have experienced difficult times in my own life. I am divorced, have 4 grown children, many grandchildren and an ex-husband. We all experience the need to change, move on, grieve and adjust to our new realities.
I have been counselling those who experienced loss, change and grief for over 2 years. I continue to expand my education in trauma, depression, and suicide awareness.
I am in Orillia one day a week where I volunteer at St. David Church. The balance of my practice is in my hometown of Beaverton.
